About Portland Pet Food Company After spending over 20 years as a health communication consultant, founder Katie McCarron turned her attention to her aging poodle Rosie's diet. Unsure of what to feed Rosie, who was losing weight, Katie began cooking her meals, focusing on natural ingredients. Rosie regained weight, and Katie expanded on her healthy, natural meals and dog biscuits, leading to the creation of Portland Pet Food Company.
